Dear Members of St. Paul,
By motion of the majority, the Planning Council has called a special voters’ assembly to take place on June 30th, following the late service at 4881 Kilburn Ave. The purpose of this meeting is to consider a motion to accept an offer by the Boys and Girls Club of America to purchase the 600 N. Horsman facilities in their entirety.
The Boys and Girls Club have offered a generous price and are also in negotiations to continue leasing the facility to Rockford Lutheran and Concordia Lutheran Schools for the sake to the day school still operating on the premises. Further, they have had discussions with other Christian congregations who may be interested in leasing the sanctuary facilities from them.
In this way, we couldn’t ask for a better scenario.
Please be on hand to help us take this final step toward firm financial ground and a clean bottom line for stewardship of our resources.
As with all special assemblies, the only motions to be considered will be those for which the meeting is called. The motion reads as follows:
Motion: To agree to the offer from the Boys and Girls Club to purchase the 600 N. Horsman Facilities for the offer received on June 18, 2019 and empower the Planning Council to ensure and take all necessary legal actions pertaining thereto.
Standing Firm with you,
Gene Simosnon passed away on Thursday, June 20th, 2019.
His funeral service will be on Friday, June 28th, 2019 at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be at 9:00am and Funeral at 10:00am.
Meal to follow service with Military and Internment at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 2:00pm.
